Respect the Underwater Environment and its Creatures

There are literally thousands of different species of marine creatures ranging from the minute to the enormous in the waters around Thailand. Some display bright radiant color whilst others employ elaborate camouflage or stealth for their protection.

All sea dwellers also have their own particular method of survival and this doesn't just mean having big mouths full of teeth that bite if you come close! Many sea creatures have special and sometimes sophisticated defense systems to protect them from would-be predators by stinging, burning, darting or injecting poison.

Furthermore, it's not just the swimming sea creatures that have these defenses, motionless sea creatures such as corals and sea anemones also have natural defenses and work effectively against all type of interference – also against curious divers who touch them...

The golden rule when diving in the waters around Thailand is to respect the underwater environment and do not actively interact with anything regardless of it's appearance!
